Jorge Avila, a renowned dancer and choreographer with 10+ years of experience, offers classes to explore self-expression and artistry, showcasing his passion and dedication in the industry

Welcome to the world of Jorge Avila. Born in Peru, Jorge has dedicated his life to the art of movement, exploring dance in all its forms. From classical ballet to vibrant salsa and energetic hip-hop, his journey is a testament to passion and dedication.

Educated at prestigious dance schools like the Ballet Municipal of Trujillo, Ballet Nacional of Perú and the Dactilares Contemporary Dance School in Peru, Jorge has honed his skills across a wide spectrum of styles. His training extends through renowned institutions like D1 of Vania Masias and Dactilares Perú, where he not only trained but also competed and excelled in numerous international tournaments, standing out in Pro-Am competitions and the professional circuit of American and Latin rhythms.

Jorge has not only shined on stage and in competitions but also on television, participating in shows like "El Gran Show" and "Los 4 Finalistas Baile" in Peru, showcasing his ability to capture the audience's attention and convey emotions through his art.

Jorge continues to evolve as a dancer and educator, organizing significant events like the first Hip Hop Festival in Trujillo and actively participating in festivals of urban cultures. His life is a dance of constant learning and artistic expression, inviting everyone to join in the passionate rhythm of his career.

BALLROOM Experience

Since embarking on his journey with Arthur Murray Pro-Am competitions, Jorge has proven to be a formidable competitor and a devoted dancer. His trajectory in these competitions is marked by consistent success and continuous growth, showcasing his skill and dedication at every level:

• 2016: Jorge made a notable entrance into Arthur Murray competitions, securing a third-place finish in the Future Champions American Rhythm category in Las Vegas.

• 2017: His technique and style earned him the first-place spot in the same Future Champions American Rhythm competition, also in Las Vegas. That year, he also rose in the Rising Star American Rhythm category, achieving second place.

• 2018: Jorge continued to excel, securing second place in the Rising Star American Rhythm in Las Vegas and fifth place in the Open Professional American Rhythm in Miami.

• 2019: An exceptional year for Jorge, achieving multiple first-place finishes in both local competitions in Lima and international venues in Las Vegas and San Diego. His victories included first places in Rhythm Pro-Am, Smooth Pro-Am, and Latin Challenge Pro-Am. Additionally, Jorge secured second place in the Rising Star American Rhythm in Las Vegas and first place in San Diego.

• 2021: Jorge continued his upward trajectory with a third-place finish in Rising Star American Rhythm in Las Vegas and reaching fifth place in the Open Professional American Rhythm in Washington DC.

• 2022: His prowess in Latin dances shined with a first-place victory in Open Professional Salsa in Boston and Open Professional Bachata in Washington DC. He also achieved second place in Open Professional Bachata and in Open Professional Salsa, both in Las Vegas.

Now living in the United States, Jorge continues to participate in competitions and dance events, maintaining his dedication and passion for dance at an international competitive level. Each competition and performance is a testament to his ongoing growth and his commitment to excellence in the world of dance.
